Founded by an American transplant passionate about bold visual storytelling and heartfelt design, the studio brings a unique blend of transatlantic flair and seaside inspiration. The Working Stiff is a design studio built on the gallows-humor truth that creatives never really clock out—even after they’re dead. Playing on the old phrase about being a “working stiff,” the website frames the company as a crew of tireless makers who are so devoted to their craft they’ve carried it into the afterlife. The visual identity leans into macabre charm: skeletal illustrators hunched over drafting tables, ink spilling like midnight oil, bones crossed in stubborn defiance. But beneath the wink and the wordplay is a serious promise—relentless dedication to art, illustration, and design. The concept suggests that great design doesn’t just live; it lingers.
