At 70, I stand at a remarkable crossroads. For the past 30 years, Ojai has been both home and muse, a place whose natural beauty and creative energy have shaped my artistic voice.
Still creating, evolving, and more alive than ever in my art. Born and raised in Southern California, I've carried the spirit of that sunlit landscape with me throughout my life and work. Each brushstroke, painting, or new idea is a continuation of a lifelong dialogue between self, place, and imagination.
Now, as I step into the third act of my life, I do so with intention and excitement. This chapter isn’t about slowing down — it’s about transformation. Reinvention in 2026 means embracing my accumulated wisdom while welcoming fresh perspectives and unfamiliar mediums. It’s about breaking boundaries that once defined me, allowing my work to expand in ways only possible through the experience of time. The third act is often seen as a culmination, but for me it’s a renaissance — a celebration of resilience, freedom, and creative possibility. I am proof that art is not a career or a phase of life, but a lifelong calling that continues to grow, shift, and surprise.
ABOUT

ART DOES NOT APOLOGISE
I've always loved this phrase "art does not apologize" suggests that art should be created and presented with confidence, without the artist feeling the need to apologize for their work. It advocates for artists to stand by their creations, whether they are technically perfect or not, and to resist the pressure to conform or be overly humble, as it can weaken the work itself and invites pity rather than constructive feedback.
